What that means in practice

We say so on every page that mentions it, because a reader deserves to know which company an offer actually comes from.
Clicking a link costs you nothing and changes nothing about the offer you receive. The terms are the same whether you arrive through us or directly.
What it does not change
It does not decide what the pages say. The review lists the open questions and the weak points alongside the strengths, the offer page works the wagering arithmetic through in full rather than leading with the ceiling figure, and the licensing page states plainly what we could not verify. A page that only flattered would be worth nothing to you, and worth nothing to us shortly afterwards.

Why disclose it at all
Because the alternative is worse for everybody. A reader who discovers the commercial relationship after the fact has no reason to trust anything else on the page, and rightly so. Stated up front, it becomes a piece of context you can weigh — read the criticisms, check the arithmetic, and judge whether the pages behave like a sales sheet or like notes.
It also keeps us honest in a mechanical way. Once the incentive is written down in public, every soft claim on the site looks like what it would be, and the cheapest way to avoid that is not to make soft claims. That constraint has improved these pages more than any style rule.
